Reluctant Phoenix covered a number of human powered aircraft of limited success built during the 1950’s and 1960’s by Dan Perkins. Their almost unique feature was an inflatable wing.
Only the last model flew a few inches above the ground in Cardington airship hangar in Bedfordshire, England
This concept inspired Fred To to build Phoenix, the only other inflatable HPA to date.
